I am not sure whether I want to post this in my blog.... but I guess there is no harm to it....
I went to several places in Europe recently for work. Naturally, took that opportunity to visit some places as well.
My flight first stop at Singapore. Cant get direct flight, and not only Singapore....my flight schedule were like this
- KL - CHANGI - AMSTERDAM - STUTTGART
- STUTTGART - PARIS - ROME
- ROME - AMSTERDAM - KL
As I have been to Europe before in several occasion, I think the flight schedule was a bit crazy. Especially that my final destination was only Stuttgart, Germany and Rome, Italy. But due to unavailability of flight, that was the best I can get. All in, it was 11 days travel to numerous city.
First stop - Changi Airport, Singapore. Despite my numerous visit to Singapore, this actually the first time I arrived in their Airport.
Next stop. Schiphol Airport, Amsterdam. At first, I am bit lost. I could not recognize the airport. Then I realized that I am at the different section of the airport that I have never been to before. As always, Schiphol is a shopping heaven. I have to restrain myself. hahahah
Finally, I arrived at
When I book my flight ticket, I also tried to book for hotel but apparently due to event in Stuggart, almost all hotels in Stuggart area was fully booked. At least those mention online.I am quite convinced that there must be available room if I walk around Stuttgart but cant take the risk as this was indeed a business trip.Need a firm plan. So I decided to stay in small village in Unterreichenbach about 1 hour journey from Stuttgart, and about 10 minute distance from Pfoizhem.A very wise decision. The village is so beautiful, and I get to sample a true European village lifestyle. Perhaps the coolest thing ever happened in my life
The small inn I stayed , Gasthaus Lowen. Operated by husband and wife and only both of them. Amazing.
The ever famous Black Forest beside our hotel
On the day I arrived, i decided to check the train station and check out time needed to travel from here to Stuttgart
We have to change train at Horb
And the following would be the lovely park at Stuttgart
Stuttgart is famous for two brand. Porsche and Mercedes Benz for which both were born here. I couldnt find time to visit Mercedes Museum, but I am very lucky, I managed to visit Porsche Museum.
Finally, all good thing must come to an end. Time to say goodbye. (Picture below with Ellen , the owner of the inn I stayed)
Next stop , transit in Paris
My very brief moment in Paris, went out of Airport for "ciggy". And just have enough time to catch my next flight
Switzerland...on top... Magnificent view
Premium Seat....lucky...thanks to membership to Sky Pass Team
Arriving at destination...Rome, Italy
This is my work place....seriously....cool..
So all work is done, some time for sight seeing .....and they said.....Welcome to Rome
Colosseum, Rome...I arrived here quite late....so decided not to enter and instead taking pictures outside of the building. Funny story, met this "mat bangla" selling souvenir. I wanted to buy fridge magnet . 4 pieces for 10 euro. But when he found out that I am Malaysian, he straight away gave me another piece for free....yea!!!
Next day, I went out early and headed to Vatican City
Free water all over Italy ?????????
Museum at Vatican, dub the most important Art Museum in the world
By Michealangelo
The ever famous, Sistine Chapel. Where conclave happened for election of new pope. (am not suppose to snap picture here)
Basilica St Peter
Peter's Tomb
The ever famous Swiss Guard....dude i pity your uniform...seriously...???? (From one fellow reader, Michaelangelo designed the uniform...rather "chicky"... Michaelangelo also drew a face of this guy he hate, on a painting to resembled hell and men being tortured..., I guess it is rather dangerous affair to cross path with Michaelangelo those days...phew)
Ancient watch, this tall tower used to measure time by sun and shadow.
Had time, went back to Colosseum , but this time I managed to enter
